EVERYONE EATS HERE

ACCESSIBILITYSTATEMENT.

Last updated November 4, 2026

Our commitment

Cocky Rooster wants everyone to be able to find a location, read the menu, order wings and get in touch with us, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We treat accessibility as part of how the website is built, not an add-on, and we keep working on it as the site changes.

The standard we build to

Our goal is for cocky-rooster.com to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. These are the guidelines referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for websites. Every page is checked against them before it is published and again after changes.

What you'll find on every page

  • Keyboard access — every menu, button, form and gallery can be used with the keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a logical order. A "Skip to main content" link appears as the first Tab stop.
  • Screen-reader support — meaningful headings, labelled buttons and form fields, descriptive text for photos, and announcements for errors and menu changes.
  • Accessibility widget — the button in the bottom-right corner lets you enlarge text, raise contrast, switch to grayscale, underline links, use a bigger cursor, highlight focus and stop animations. Your choices are remembered as you move between pages.
  • Motion control — background videos can be paused with the button beside them, and all animation is switched off automatically if your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Readable text and colour — text sizes and colour contrast meet the WCAG AA thresholds, and the layout works at 200% zoom and on small screens.
  • Forms that help — required fields are marked, mistakes are described in words next to the field, and focus moves to the first problem.

How we test

Each page is tested at desktop and phone sizes with automated tools (WebAIM WAVE and axe) and by hand: keyboard-only navigation, screen-reader reading order, and the site's own motion and contrast settings. Our target, and current result, is zero errors and zero contrast errors in WAVE on every page.

Known limitations

  • Online ordering and the rewards app are provided by a third-party platform (Appfront) on order.cocky-rooster.com. We don't control that code. If you have trouble ordering online, call the restaurant and we'll take your order by phone.
  • PDFs and downloads, such as the printable sauce guide, are designed for print; the same information is available as regular web pages.
  • Social media and maps links lead to other companies' sites with their own accessibility practices.

Tell us if something isn't working

If any part of this website is difficult to use, or you need information in a different format, email support@cocky-rooster.com. Please tell us the page address and what happened. We read every message and aim to reply within two business days, and we'll use what you tell us to fix the issue for everyone.

You can also call any Cocky Rooster location directly; phone numbers and hours are on each location page.
